TEACHER'S COUNCIL

The College has a Teacher's Council with several committees/units consisting with a composition of senior and junior faculty members to coordinate the academic matters as well as administrative matters. The Teacher's Council is an integral part of implementing the institutional activities. The academic leadership is provided to the faculty members through involving the faculty members in the decision making process of various academic unit/sub-committee activities of the Council:
 
(1) Academic Committee, (2).Examination Committee, (3) Library Advisory Committee, (4) Research Committee, (5) Drama, Debate and Literary Activities Committee, (6) Routine Committee, (7) UGC Committee, (8) NAAC Committee, (9) Games & Sports Committee, (10) Development Committee, (11) IDCW Committee (12) NSS unit, (13) NCC wing.
The administrative leadership is provided to the faculty members through involving in the decision making process of various administrative sub-committee activities: (1) Discipline Committee, (2) Anti-Ragging Committee, (3) Sexual Harassment Committee, (4) Grievance Redressal cell, (5) Students’ Council Election Committee.

Catalyzed in the celebration of Khudiram Sahidan Diwas (Martyrdom Day of Khudiram) organized by the Student's Council at the open space of the Academic Block-II.

Felicitated to Sri Haradhan Hrishi Das, Library Sorter and Sri Sudhir Debnath, Group-D non-teaching staff of the college with floral bouquet, certificate (manpatra) and memento reminding their services to the college on the occasion of their retirement. The programme was held at the Teachers’ Common Room. Teaching staff and non-teaching staff were present. Sweets packet offered by themselves is distributed to all teaching .staff and non-teaching staff.

Catalyzed in the Sukanta’s 108th Birth Ceremony at the Seminar Hall of the Academic Block-I. Welcome address delivered by Dr. Sutapa Das, Associate Professor, Department of Bengali. Opening song was presented by a group of male and female students. Dr. Gita Debnath, Ex-Principal of the Women’s College, Tripura was the resource person. She enlightened the audience on Sukanta’s poetic life history. Principal, Dr. (Md.) Mojahid Rahaman, Associate Professor, Department of History and 2 students of the college delivered talks. Three students and two teachers presented Sukanta’s poet. Sweets packet is distributed.

Celebrated Independence Day at the open space of the library block. Flag festooned by the Principal of the College with the guest of honour of NCC cadets. A group of students, teachers and non-teaching staff were presented a song. Principal, General Secretary of the Students’ Council, Secretary & Joint Secretary of the Teachers’ Council, Sri Debajit Chakraborty of the Department of Economics, Sri Dipak Bardhan of the Department of Commerce, Dr. (Md.) Mojahid Rahaman, Dr. Chitra Pal and Dr. Shanta Bhowmik of the Department of History, non-teaching staff Smt. Debdashi Deb delivered speech. Many students, teachers and non-teaching staff were present and observed the day. Sweets packet and tea distributed to all.

Organized a felicitation programme at the Teacher's Common Room for recognizing Best Teacher to Sri Debajit Chakraborty by the Government of Tripura on 4 September, 2015. Felicitated to Sri Debajit Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Ramthakur College with floral bouquet, memento and certificate of honour for recognizing Best Teacher by the Government of Tripura. Principal, 14 teachers and 2 non-teaching staff of the college shared their views about the personality. Sweets packet offered by the personality is distributed to all teaching .staff and non-teaching staff.

Many teachers and 2 non-teaching staff shared their views about the personality. The programme was concluded with offering lunch by the personality to all teaching .staff and non-teaching staff.

Coordinated the programme discussion on Adwaita Malla Barman celebrating his Birth Anniversary at the Seminar Hall of the Academic Block-I. Dr. Dilip Das, Principal, Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Tripura was the resource person. He enlightened the audience on Adwita’s writings and life history. Dr. Debabrata Goswami, Principal, Dr. (Md.) Mojahid Rahaman, Associate Professor, Department of History, Dr. Rabindra Das, Associate Professor, Department of Bengali, Dr. Sutapa Das, Associate Professor, Department of Bengali also delivered talks highlighting his writings for the backward community and malo samaj.

Celebrated 67th Republic Day at the open space of the library block. Flag festooned by the Principal of the College with the guest of honour of NCC cadets. National song was presented by the joint tune of NCC cadets, students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the college. Principal delivered speech on ‘the Importance of the Day, Constitution of India and the Context of the Present Scenario of India’, General Secretary of the Students’ Council on ‘the History of the Day’, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council on ‘the Genesis of the Day, Constitution of India and our Duties & Responsibilities’, Sri Debajit Chakraborty of the Department of Economics on ‘the Importance, Constitution of India and Market Economy’ and Dr. (Md.) Mojahid Rahaman of the Department of History delivered speech on ‘the Importance of the Day in the Context of the World Economic Scenario’. Many students, teachers and non-teaching staff were present and observed the day. Chocolate, sweets packet and tea distributed to all.
